Executive search
Executive Search is the recommended technique for the recruitment of senior level executives with exceptional abilities and/or specialist skills. It enables us to identify individuals who are not necessarily seeking a change of employment, considerably broadening the range of potential candidates.
Briefing
At the start of every assignment, we gain an intimate understanding of the role, the culture in which the person will operate and the key success factors.
Target companies
Following a detailed market analysis, we compile a target list of companies where we deem the most suitable candidates will be working. After gaining your approval, we use this document as the basis for our research activity.
Long list
We start the identification process by listening to informal views from an extensive network of ex-colleagues, peers and industry sources. This enables us to draw up a ‘long list’ for your review.
Short list
All short-listed candidates are interviewed using behavioural-based techniques to assess each candidate’s level of competency in the key areas. We prepare a detailed report that includes the individual’s experience and our assessment of their strengths and weaknesses.
Referencing
Drawing close to the negotiation phase, detailed references are taken and every reasonable care is taken to validate the accuracy and completeness of information provided by the referees.
Negotiations
At this critical stage, we keep you up to date with continuous feedback on your preferred candidates. We undertake all negotiations on your behalf, so you can be freed of any candidate issues regarding the offer.
Selection
Once you have selected your preferred candidate, we finalise the offer, including the starting date and package. We follow through to let the unsuccessful candidates know of their position.
Follow-up
Once your new candidate has started the position, we invite you and the candidate to complete our quality assurance questionnaire to ensure we have met or exceeded expectations.
Timeframe
The length of assignment will vary depending on role, but through better research, a more efficient methodology and knowledge of market we typically take less time than other Executive Search firms. For example, a domestic Executive Search assignment will take approximately 5-7 weeks to complete.
